  • Buckle Up! 70 Percent by 92

    Beer Institute and NBWA participated in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) efforts to increase seat belt usage under the Buckle Up! 70 percent by 92 program. Beer Industry efforts included the distribution of promotional materials and public service announcements encouraging greater seat belt usage.

  • Guarding Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse in the Nineties: Building Public/private partnerships

    This report reviews, for state legislators and other opinion makers, why cooperative initiatives of public and private organizations have emerged as the best way to leverage existing governmental program funds through the support of businesses and communities.

  • Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies

    The Licensed Beverage Information Council (LBIC), an alcohol beverage education organization, participated with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in a campaign to caution pregnant women about the health risks associated with drinking alcohol while pregnant.

    This report, published by the National Association of Broadcasters with a grant from the Beer Institute Community Assistance Fund (BICAF), contains information on teen alcohol abuse and what families, schools and communities can do to prevent underage drinking.
